How Adding Ozone To Cooling Towers Works |
|
The way we add ozone to your cooling system will eliminate your dependency on chlorine and other chemicals, reduce health hazards, save water and energy; and with our system you will save money too!!
Below is a flowchart which demonstrates how the water interacts with our ozone unit before it reaches your cooling tower. The end result is cleaner, safer water with less runoff and maximum operating efficiency.

As you can see, the oxygen which enters into your cooling tower is immediately treated with ozone and injected directly into the cooling tower basin. Further, ozone is monitored and runs through the heat exchanger to produce rapid cooling effects due to ozone’s extremely high rate of evaporation. This ozone is then injected into the top of the cooling tower which has a trickledown effect, taking with it all the corrosives, hazardous bio-materials, and scale that may be present in the tower basin.
The ozone generator can also be programmed to operate at your exact standards. Studies have shown that due to the extremely fast evaporation rate of ozone, concentrations of around 50% tend to be most effective.
Below is a photo of the 4 stages of water out of a cooling tower when ozone is used:
The above photo's are in order: RAW WATER, POST FILTER, POST OZONE, FINAL WATER.
This says it all!!
